The strikemaster
The Strikemaster 1112 aircraft was built by British Aerospace in 1969 and sold to the Royal Saudi Airforce as an advanced trainer/light attack aircraft. The last recorded flight with the RSAF was on the 9/12/96 with 6814.1 recorded airframe hours.

The Strikemaster is an uprated version of the Jet Provost T.Mk5. The engine produces 3400 lbs of thrust and the airframe is strengthened and includes the provision of underwing hard points for the carriage of under wing stores.

Whitehouse Aviation acquired Strikemaster Bac 167 Mk80a on the 16th March 2001 from Global Aviation. Global Aviation acquired several of the retired RSAF fleet of Strikemasters which were disassembled, packed in containers and exported to England.North Wales Military Aviation Services Ltd moved the aircraft to their facilities at Hawarden shortly afterwards  for a complete restoration and reassembly.
The aircraft was finally given a bare metal respray and repainted black with a yellow accent and successfully completed a test flight on the 22nd January 2003, 26 months after purchase. This aircraft is piloted by David Barber and is regularly seen at air shows through out the Uk and is based at Eglinton airport, Northern Ireland.




Tech Spec
The Strikemaster has a climb rate of 5250 feet per minute with a service ceiling of 40,000 feet. Maximum speed is 450 knots (518 mph).

Twin uprated, ejection seats are fitted which may be deployed even at ground level providing the air speed is at least 90kts and the aircraft is in level or climbing flight. The engine uses aviation jet fuel and has a fuel burn of 40 lbs per minute or 300 gallons per hour (at sea level).
